I’m a writer, reporter, producer, and host whose audio documentaries have tackled some of the most polarizing issues in the U.S.

I’ve led teams of journalists on complex, year-long narrative and investigative projects that have driven change, topped podcast charts, and generated national acclaim.

Lost Patients investigates why America loses people who experience psychosis to an endless loop between emergency rooms, jails, and the streets. I co-created the podcast, served as host and producer, and reported the series alongside collaborators from The Seattle Times.

The Walk Home

NPR, KNKX, The Seattle Times (2022)

The Walk Home investigates the 2020 killing of Manuel Ellis by police in Tacoma, Wash., a case that straddles the line between America’s pre-George Floyd and post-George Floyd eras. I co-created the podcast and served as senior producer, helping lead a cross-organizational team of journalists in reporting and writing the series.

Outsiders

KNKX, The Seattle Times (2020)

Outsiders examines the rise of unsheltered homelessness on the West Coast by chronicling one city’s attempts to manage the crisis for more than a year. I created the podcast, served as host and producer, and reported it alongside collaborators from The Seattle Times.
